There is life after 50! I recently began jogging again at
age 52, after a 15 year hiatus. Because of a deteriorating
lower disc it was critical to obtain a suitable shoe to
prevent excessive jarring. This shoe is wonderful and I am
happy to report I have had no back issues at all.

I have a hard time finding a show that is wide enough 4E and
still provide a great deal of motion control. I where these
shows at work where I have to spend many hours on my feet.

This is my 5th pair of New Balance M1122 shoes. I am a big
guy and have a wide foot, and this shoe works on both
issues. It supports the weigh and is easy on feet, and the
shoe never feels tight or uncomfortable. I never get that
"can't wait to get these shoes off" feeling with these
shoes. I used to have one pair at a time, wearing one pair
out before buying the next pair. Now I have a pair for
gardening and mowing, one pair for general wear, and a third
pair that I only wear when the shoes need to be shiny white.
I live in California in temperate weather year-around, so
these work year around. They also work well in the heat, but
they have little insulation for cold weather. Other than
that, they are great!!!

The SL-2 last is excellent for those of us with wide
forefoot and narrower heel. Excellent cushioning and
stability. My only complaint is the shoe feels somewhat
stiff for about six weeks if you wear them every other day.
